  • Vincent Kaufmann

    CEO

    Vincent Kaufmann (1980) has been the CEO of Ethos Foundation and of Ethos Services since June 2015. From October 2020 to January 2023, he was also Head Proxy Voting and Swiss ESG & Engagement ad interim. Vincent Kaufmann joined Ethos in 2004 as a Corporate Governance Analyst, later becoming a Senior and Deputy Head Corporate Governance. He has been member of Ethos Services’ management in charge of investment since 2011 and deputy CEO since 2013.

    Since June 2019, he has been a member of the board of Swiss Sustainable Finance.

    Vincent Kaufmann, a Swiss certified Expert for Accounting and Controlling since 2009, holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics of the University of Geneva (2004).

  • Anthony Gloor

    Deputy CEO

    Anthony Gloor (1981) joined Ethos in 2015 as member of management and is Deputy CEO since January 2021. He is in charge of general administration, budgets and accounting, publications and communication instruments, technology development and maintenance as well as internal control and compliance.

    Simultaneously to his position at Ethos, he has a mandate as lecturer in Business Economics at the Geneva School of Business Administration (Haute Ecole de Gestion).

    Anthony Gloor holds a Master’s degree in Information and Communication systems from the University of Geneva, with a minor in Business administration. He also is a Certified Information System Auditor from the ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and holds the certification in risk management assurance from the IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors).

    Prior to joining Ethos, Anthony Gloor had been working for ten years at the audit and consulting company Deloitte in Geneva. In this capacity, he conducted numerous audit and risk management consulting missions. He became deputy director in 2012 and was also responsible for staff training in Deloitte’s «advisory» departments throughout Switzerland.

     

  • David Jeannet

    Head Responsible Investment and ESG International

    David Jeannet has been appointed Head Responsible Investment & ESG International in October 2020. In this capacity, he is responsible for monitoring the external management of Ethos funds, mandates and indices and for activities related to ESG analyses and ratings of international companies. David Jeannet joined Ethos in January 2019 as Senior Business Development Manager.

    Following a Master’s degree in International Relations in 2007 from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, David Jeannet obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Sustainable Management from the University of Geneva.

    David Jeannet began his professional career at Barclays Bank Switzerland, as a member of the OTC derivatives team. Between 2008 and 2016, he worked for Ethos in various positions, namely as Senior Investment Manager and ESG Analyst. From 2017 to 2018, David Jeannet worked as a SRI Officer within the Groupe Mirabaud in Geneva.

     

  • Aurora Mouturat-Sorensen

    Head Proxy Voting and Swiss ESG & Engagement

    Aurora Mouturat-Sorensen joined Ethos in January 2023 as Head Proxy Voting and Swiss ESG & Engagement, and, at the same time, becomes a member of the executive management. She is responsible for the proxy voting at general meetings of companies in which Ethos members are shareholders and is also responsible for the ESG and engagement services with listed companies in Switzerland.

    Aurora holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and studied at the Ecole Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur specialising in finance and marketing.

    Prior to joining Ethos, Aurora worked for more than twenty years in the banking and financial services sector in London, focusing on risk management and capital markets. She was previously EMEA Head of ESG Risk Management at the Japanese bank Mizuho and Head of Risk Governance & Regulatory Liaison at Morgan Stanley. She has also been Head of Risk Regulatory Implementation and Head of Audit for Regulatory Risk at NatWest (previously Royal Bank of Scotland).

  • Matthias Narr

    Head Engagement International

    Matthias Narr is Head Engagement International at Ethos in Geneva, Switzerland. He is responsible for the management of the EEP International dialogue programme and Ethos’ international engagement activities. Matthias Narr joined Ethos as a Senior Engagement Specialist in March 2017. He is member of the PRI’s Stewardship Advisory Committee.

    Matthias Narr studied Political Science, Economic History and International Law at the University of Zurich and the University of Paris X and holds a master’s degree.

    Before joining Ethos, Matthias Narr worked as an Engagement Specialist in Robeco’s Active Ownership department in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Previously, Matthias Narr had been a manager in SAM’s Sustainability Services team in Zurich, Switzerland.

     

     

  • Michael Spalding

    Head Client Relations

    Michael Spalding (1967) has been member of Ethos Services’ management since 2011 and is responsible for Ethos’ client and member relations. Michael Spalding joined Ethos in 2010 as Senior Relationship Manager in Ethos’ Zurich office.

    Michael Spalding holds a degree for Business Economics of the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWV) and holds the title Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) of the Association of Certified International Investment Analysts.

    From 1987 to 1996, Michael Spalding held different positions at Credit Suisse. From 1996 to 2001, he worked at Swiss Re in the client management for Latin American insurance companies and was also responsible as the Deputy Head of the Latin American Academy for the development of this training centre. From 2001, Michael Spalding was as a Relationship Manager responsible for institutional clients and the portfolio development at Credit Suisse and Lombard Odier.

    Vanessa Ardenti joined Ethos in April 2022 as a Senior ESG Analyst. In this capacity, she is in charge of conducting environmental, social and governance assessments of international companies and specific studies on ESG issues.

    Vanessa Ardenti holds a Master’s degree in literature from the University of Fribourg, a MBA in business management and a CAS in human resources management from the University of Geneva.

    Before joining Ethos, Vanessa Ardenti has in particular been working for nineteen years for Inrate, first as an ESG Analyst, then as head of the research department, and for two years as Senior ESG analyst for the Responsible Mining Foundation.

    Dovan Attias joined Ethos in December 2021 as an ESG Analyst and as a data analyst since July 2022.     Dovan Attias holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management and a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences. Before joining Ethos, he has been working for Pictet Asset Management in the field of business risk.

    Raphaël Caregnato joined Ethos in June 2021 as an ESG Analyst. In this capacity, he is in charge of conducting environmental, social and governance assessments of international companies and specific studies on ESG issues.

    Raphaël Caregnato holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and a Master’s degree in Finance of HEC Lausanne. Before joining Ethos, he has been working for almost three years for Pictet Wealth Management as an analyst in the field of sustainable investments.

    Helder Carvalho joined Ethos in June 2019 as IT applications developer. In this capacity, he participates in the development of applications and software packages. He also provides IT-support to users.

    Helder Carvalho holds a degree in computer technician. Prior to joining Ethos, he worked for 7 years as developer for a real estate service company and 2 years in an IT company specialized in banking software.

  • Dario De Notaristefano

    Senior Client Relationship Manager

    Dario De Notaristefano joined Ethos in April 2019 as a Client Relationship Manager. In this capacity, he completes the Client Relations team in Zurich, where he is responsible for the support and acquisition of clients from German- and Italian-speaking Switzerland. 

    Dario De Notaristefano obtained in 2014 a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Banking & Finance from the ZHAW School of Management & Law in Winterthur. He also holds the title of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) delivered by the CFA Institute, which he obtained in 2018.

    From 2005 to 2013, Dario De Notaristefano worked in various positions at UBS and at Credit Suisse. From 2014 to 2016 he worked for Neue Aargauer Bank in the research and investment advisory department. Most recently, he worked as a product specialist in asset management at GAM Investment Management. In this capacity, he worked closely with sales, marketing and investment teams to maintain and expand the client base.

  • Sébastien Dubas

    Communication and Project Manager

    Sébastien Dubas has been appointed Communication and Project Manager in June 2020. In this capacity, he is responsible for the communication of Ethos and ensures the monitoring and follow-up of ESG themes relevant to the Ethos Foundation. Sébastien Dubas joined Ethos in 2017 as ESG analyst, becoming a senior analyst in 2019. He was mainly in charge of analysing shareholder meetings and environmental, social and governance assessments of Swiss companies.

    Sébastien Dubas earned a Master’s degree in International Relations in 2006 from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Before joining Ethos, he has been working for five years as a journalist as part of the economic and financial section of the newspaper Le Temps. He has also worked for three years in the middle office of a hedge fund.

Fanny Ebener joined Ethos in 2009 as a corporate governance analyst becoming a senior analyst in 2011.

    Clémence Gallopin holds a Master’s degree in Political Economy from HEC Lausanne. Before joining Ethos, she worked for the United Nations Population Fund as a program officer on gender-based violence.

    Claire Gavini joined Ethos in October 2020 as an ESG Analyst and works as an ESG Engagement Specialist since June 2022. In this capacity, she is responsible for the implementation of engagement activities of the EEP International.     Claire Gavini holds a Master’s degree in International Relations of the Institut d’études politiques in Grenoble and a Master’s degree in Internal Audit and Corporate Governance of the IAE School of management in Aix-en-Provence.

    From 2012 to 2020, Claire Gavini worked as internal auditor with different companies in France and Great Britain, such as Orano, Go Sport International Group and Galliford Try. Since 2016, she held a position of Associate, then as an Assistant Manager in the ESG department of Hermes Investment Management in London.

    Olivier Gros joined Ethos in 2013 as Senior Client Relationship Manager responsible for Western Switzerland. In this capacity, he is in charge of relations with French-speaking members and clients. Olivier Gros earned a Master’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Geneva. He also holds a Swiss Federal and European diploma as financial analyst and asset manager (CFPI).

    Olivier Gros has an in-depth expertise in institutional fund management as well as in relationship management with private and institutional clients. From 1997 to 2012, he held several positions at the private bank Pictet & Cie, particularly in the asset management, wealth management and private banking units. Prior to joining Pictet & Cie, he had been working for several years in the field of asset management at UBS.

    Mohamed Amine Hathroubi joined Ethos in October 2020 as an ESG Analyst.     Mohamed Amine Hathroubi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance of HEC Lausanne. He worked since 2017 as a teaching assistant and since 2019 also as a scientific researcher at HEC Lausanne.

    Project Manager Education

    Urs Holliger joined Ethos in 2006. As Senior Client Relationship Manager, Urs Holliger participated until 2019 in the representation of Ethos in Zurich where he was in charge of client relations and the development of key accounts in German-speaking Switzerland. Since 2020, he holds the position of a Project Manager Education.

    Urs Holliger has earned diplomas in banking as well as in  in Staff Training and Personnel Development from the Institute of Applied Psychology in Zurich. Urs Holliger also holds a diploma in Management Training from the University of Zurich.

    From 1990 to 1997 Urs Holliger held several positions as Project Manager for Professional and Management Training at several major banks, including the UBS. From 1997 to 2006 Urs Holliger was a member of the executive management team of the Swisscanto Investment Foundation. His main responsibilities at Swisscanto included sales, marketing and communication concerning socially responsible investments for institutional and private investors of the Swiss pension system. In 2008 and 2009, Urs Holliger chaired the town council of Brugg (AG).

    Natascha Knoblich joined Ethos in December 2021 as a Marketing & Communication Coordinator. In this capacity, she supports in particular the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and is responsible for the coordination of communication activities.

    Natascha Knoblich obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (IHEID). She also holds a degree in marketing strategy, communication and e-business from the University of Geneva.

    Before joining Ethos, Natascha Knoblich was in charge of event marketing and communication at Merck Serono SA from 2008 to 2012 and was responsible for sustainable development communication at Givaudan SA from 2013 to 2020. From 2021 onwards, she worked as a project and communication manager for the association Eco-Citoyen.

    Xavier Malagoli joined Ethos in March 2021 as an ESG Analyst. In this capacity, he is in charge of conducting environmental, social and governance assessments of international companies and specific studies on ESG issues.

    From 2017 to 2020, Xavier Malagoli worked for Ecovadis in Paris and Warsaw as a Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Analyst. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Lifeworth Consulting and a Junior Consultant at Kendris. Xavier Malagoli holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Public Management from the University of Geneva and the University of Liverpool. He also completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Corporate Social Responsibility in 2012.

    Sara Martin joined Ethos in January 2022 as an Administrative Assistant. As such, she is in charge of organising and running the Ethos administration. She also assists management in its administrative tasks and is in charge of various editing tasks.

    Sara Martin holds a federal certificate of proficiency in commercial business as well as a diploma in insurance consultancy and has extensive experience in administrative support acquired in various service and insurance companies.

    Before joining Ethos, Sara Martin worked as an internal service assistant at AXA from 2016 to 2020 and as a sales assistant at Caran d'Ache from 2020 to the end of 2021.

    Théo Milliez joined Ethos in April 2021 as an ESG Analyst. In this capacity, he is in charge of conducting environmental, social and governance assessments of international companies and specific studies on ESG issues.

    Théo Milliez is co-founder and manager of the company Alterna Sàrl, founded in 2018 and specialised in sustainability services. From 2018 to 2019, Théo Milliez also worked for Nestlé, first as an Environmental Officer, then as a Sustainability Officer and, from 2016 to 2017, as a Project Engineer for Helvetia Environnement. Théo Milliez holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL).

    Prior to joining Ethos, he worked for 1 year as developer in a professional services provider and 5 years as developer in an IT company specialised in banking software.

    Romain Perruchoud has been Senior ESG Analyst since January 2018. Emmanuelle Ricchi holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Geneva.

    Christian Richoz has been Senior Investment Manager since January 2017. In this capacity, he is in charge of control tasks related to Ethos’ different investment funds and asset management mandates. He is also responsible for the support reporting and communication of asset management products and extra-financial ratings. Christian Richoz joined Ethos in February 2014 as corporate governance analyst becoming a Senior analyst in 2015.

    Before joining Ethos, he gained his extensive professional experience of six years in the fields of index construction and corporate governance at the «Corporate Events» department of MSCI in Geneva.

    Christian Richoz holds a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) at the University of Lausanne.

    Julie Saussé joined Ethos in February 2022 as ESG Engagement Specialist. In this capacity, she is responsible for the implementation of engagement activities of the EEP International.     Julie Saussé holds a Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance, a Master’s degree in Management of the University of Nancy in France and she studied sustainability and climate change risks at the GARP Institute.

    Before joining Ethos, Julie Saussé worked several years for international companies in finance teams in Switzerland and France. From 2016 to 2021 she was in charge of the sustainable finance topics for the Group Holcim in Zug. Prior to that, she was Senior Consolidation Analyst for SGS in Geneva and Lafarge in Paris.

     

     

  • Daisy Schrai

    Executive Assistant

    Daisy Schrai joined Ethos in 2014 as Executive Assistant. As such, she is in charge of organizing and running the Ethos secretariat. She also assists management in its administrative and accounting tasks. 

    She gained her extensive professional experience in the field of administrative and accounting support through various positions she held at financial institutions, real estate agents and Ethos (1999 to 2005).

  • Anja Seiler

    Senior ESG Engagement Specialist

    Anja Seiler joined Ethos in September 2020 as ESG Engagement Specialist. In this capacity, she is responsible for the implementation of engagement activities of the EEP International. Her responsibilities include engaging in dialogue with companies as well as preparing specific studies on ESG issues.

    Before joining Ethos, Anja Seiler worked for several years for Helvetas in international cooperation, both locally in West Africa and from Switzerland. Her focus was on human rights, conflict resolution and governance.

    Anja Seiler studied Political Science at the University of Geneva and graduated with a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Bradford. She earned the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing in April 2022.

  • Fabienne Tomasi

    Board Secretary and HR Assistant

    Fabienne Tomasi joined Ethos in August 2022 as Board Secretary and HR Assistant. In this capacity, she assists the CEO in all tasks related to the Boards of Ethos Foundation and Ethos Services. She is also in charge of corporate documents and assists management with HR tasks.

    Fabienne Tomasi holds a degree in business economics from the University of Applied Sciences in Geneva and a certificate in personnel management.

    Prior to joining Ethos, Fabienne Tomasi worked for several years as an executive assistant and in human resources, notably with Chopard & Cie SA, Kessler & Co SA and La Collective de Prévoyance - Copré.

    Colette Young has been working for Ethos since 2008 as a Corporate Governance Analyst on a part-time basis during the proxy high season. In this capacity, she is in charge of analysing shareholder meetings, engaging in dialogue with companies as well as conducting specific studies on ESG issues.

    Before joining Ethos, Colette Young has worked for more than 20 years in the financial service industry managing various teams. She held several positions including as Back Office Manager Private Equity at Argos Soditic in Geneva, as Head of Operations for Infotec, a real-time financial market information provider in Geneva and as Technical Business Development Manager at First Call, providing real-time broker research at Thomson Reuters in Geneva and London.
